Adsense keywords

Many people build websites with high-paying keywords like “cheap car insurance” and “mesothelioma” with the mistaken belief that they will make a lot of money from Adsense ads. It’s usually not until the site has been up for several weeks that the site owner realizes Google isn’t paying the expected $35 per click.

To get decent earnings from your Adsense ads, you really must give Google what it wants: content. Remember the saying, “Garbage in, garbage out?” A website with random garbage masquerading as content will give you low per-click payouts, whereas a website with interesting, targeted content will gain you some respectable $$.

Everyone knows something, and that includes you. Pick a topic you know something about, or are at least interested in, and do some research. Discover the highest-paying keywords in your category of interest and write several paragraphs. Incorporate your category’s high-paying keywords into the text. (Just don’t overdo it – Google can pick up on that and may penalize you.)

You can also draw some Google love by making sure to update your content often. The more frequently updated your site, the better. Seeing that your content is fresh and updated will cause Google to crawl your website on a regular basis, winning you a place in the Big G’s coveted index.

To further enhance your click payouts, be sure to include relevant high-paying keywords in your title and meta tags.
