High-Paying Keywords for Domain Name Parking

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Optimize your parked domains with these high-paying keywords! This week I’ll begin distinguishing between clicks that come from the US, UK, CA (Canada) and AU (Australia). If no specific country is designated, then the click came from the US. Sometimes I will be unable to differentiate the exact click payouts and countries on a pair of keywords, as is the case with the first set below. This will typically happen when a particular domain name receives more than one high-paying keyword ($2.00 or higher) click in a single day. Unfortunately my parking company does not allow me to drill down any deeper. Nonetheless, you should be able to get a good idea of what keywords you should be optimizing for. Here is the keyword list for the period of November 10 through 16:

  • airline tickets, car insurance, $38.67 average (CA, US)
  • apply for a credit card, $3.49 (UK)

Optimizing your parked domains for the highest-paying keywords is one of the best–and easiest–ways to make your domains pay for themselves. I did not post the list last week due to a very busy schedule, so today I’m posting the keyword list for the period of October 27 through November 9. Big List of High-Paying Keywords

Monday, October 27th, 2008

This past week was the most profitable I’ve ever had with parking! Because there were so many keywords in this week’s report, I decided to include only the keywords that paid me more than $1.50 each. I have also sorted everything into keyword categories. You’ll also notice that keywords paying $5.00 or higher are shown in bold. Note that these payouts are what I get paid from my domain parking service. Your results may be higher or lower depending on the parking service or PPC company you use. Here is the list for October 20 through October 26:

Insurance is always a reliably good-paying category:

  • auto accident $2.22
  • business insurance $2.01
  • car insurance $6.40
  • car insurance $6.30
  • car insurance $6.16
  • car insurance $6.00
  • car insurance $1.79
  • cheap auto insurance $8.47
  • cheap auto insurance $4.61
  • health insurance $2.26
  • health insurance $1.66

Aside from insurance, the financial sector is also a good bet:

  • credit card $1.82
  • credit card $1.78
  • credit card applications $8.11
  • credit card processing $1.75
  • debt reduction $1.66
  • free credit report $2.17
  • free credit report $2.17
  • free credit report $2.17
  • free credit report $2.15
  • free credit report $2.03
  • loan consolidation $2.01
  • low rate credit card $6.13
  • low rate credit card $4.29
  • mortgage $2.02
  • mortgage $1.55
  • online banking $2.89
  • stock market investing $3.42
  • stock market investing $1.97

The internet and software categories generally pay a bit lower, but are still reliable. You can sometimes find very high-paying keywords in this category:

  • domain name search $1.71
  • help desk software $3.74
  • medical billing $1.77
  • network security $2.77
  • pay per click $2.05
  • pay per click $1.89
  • small business $1.80
  • time and attendance $1.75

Training and education seems to pay similar to internet and software:

  • computer training $2.49
  • graphic design school $1.96
  • online school $2.06
  • online training $1.77
  • traffic school online $2.06

Don’t forget about the consumer, especially around the holidays. Try building some content around some of these topics:

  • cell phone deals $1.56
  • home alarm system $3.74
  • psychic readings $2.57
  • psychic readings $2.57
  • psychic readings $2.57

It takes time, patience, creativity and persistence to build up a solid domain parking income–especially if you don’t have many generic domains with type-in traffic–but it can be done. Optimize your domains regularly, keep coming back here to see what keywords are paying well right now, and keep improving your methods. There is no reason for anyone to have a portfolio of domains that doesn’t pay for itself and, in fact, put a bit extra in your pocket.
